My Approach to Helping
Are you experiencing anxiety and stress that are having a negative impact on your life? Or do you have body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), like skin picking or hair pulling, that are impacting your emotional and physical well-being? I would love to work with you, as I treat anxiety and other related conditions, as well as BFRBs in older children, adolescents, and young adult women. Together, we will work toward increasing your awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and identify and use healthier and more effective strategies.
I became passionate about helping clients with BFRBs and anxiety during my 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I received my master’s degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania, and worked at McLean Hospital for 14 years. I am trained in several treatment approaches, and will use the most effective ones to help you achieve your treatment goals.
My style is collaborative, empathic, and goal-focused. Please reach out to me if you are looking to better manage your BFRBs, anxiety, and stress, and live a happier, healthier life!
