My Approach to Helping

Trauma can make us believe we're broken, unacceptable, alone, and often feeling ashamed. It might compel us to keep our story to ourselves for fear of judgment or rejection. It takes immense courage to desert that notion and start sharing. Welcome to Gentle Growth Therapy, I'm so glad you're here; my name is Bridget Appleby and I am privileged to offer trauma therapy. Whether this is your first therapist ever or you're looking to dig deeper into your work, I am ready to be your guide.

I have helped survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, adverse life events, and those who suffer from OCD, panic, dissociation, and depression. I specialize in Women's Issues, Anxiety, and Trauma. As my foundation, I offer unconditional positive regard, genuineness, and warmth to my clients. I utilize IFS, Gestalt, and mindful self-compassion techniques.

Life is already hard enough without trauma; allow yourself the opportunity to unburden yourself, learn new strategies and perspectives, and start living authentically. If you are ready to begin this chapter in your healing journey, please reach out today. I look forward to our work together.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

'Gentle Growth' is a reference to the incomparable, natural process we all can experience in our healing journey. As a professional counselor, I am equipped with clinical knowledge and experience to provide quality therapeutic interventions. In addition to these interventions is my philosophy that a therapist must also provide time, space, and an abundance of warm, genuine compassion for their clients so they can safely and confidently delve into this rewarding journey.
