My approach with my clients is gentle, straightforward, interactive, and tends to focus on the positive aspects of clients' personalities. In working with younger children, our work tends to be a combination of play and art therapy, wherein I am a witness to the young child's developing self and emotional growth. As a certified Yoga for the Special Child and Radiant Child yoga instructor, I often incorporate simple yoga techniques (breathing, guided visualization, and relaxation) into my work with clients to help decrease anxiety, stress, and negative thinking.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I feel profoundly privileged to help clients navigate the often confusing and overwhelming terrain of self-exploration. I am constantly awed and inspired by my clients' desire to grow and explore. When sitting with a young client on my floor playing a board game or putting on a puppet show, I am so appreciative of the opportunity to connect with such resilient and expressive children. I am my clients' biggest fan!

Groups I Work With

My private practice primarily focuses on the treatment of young children and adult individuals, particulary women. I have a particular interest in working with children who are experiencing anxiety-related issues such as separation anxiety, school phobias, excessive worry, somatic complaints, and sleep difficulties. Many of my young clients are trying to navigate a divorce or death in the family. In my work with women, our work tends to focus on creating a healthy balance between caring for themselves and tending to family and work relationships in a safe, nonjudmental environment. I strive to help clients of all ages live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
