I don't currently accept insurance, but I can provide documentation if clients wish to submit to an insurance company for "out of network" benefit coverage
I work to develop a close, collaborative relationship within which we can identify and understand the causes of your reactions. We use this new understanding so you can move ahead in your life. Rather than just teaching skills, I believe that the relationship itself, the emotional bond that forms from a deep collaboration, engenders genuine, fundamental growth. For this to develop your therapist must be deeply thoughtful, respectful, collaborative and engaging. I actively work to create an environment in which you are free to explore your thoughts, reactions and feelings, examine them in a deeper context, and develop a greater sense of your wishes and needs. This experience naturally facilitates new possibilities and leads to your living a life that feels more full and meaningful.
My Practice & Services
As a relational psychoanalyst, I have had five years of intensive training beyond graduate education. My work helps people navigate current life challenges and transcend long-standing difficulties.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
The essence of one's difficulties isn't always so clear and, even when it is, it is not so simple to make enduring changes. In my view therapy deepens your understanding of your needs and feelings, and it helps you find new ways of meeting life's challenges. The most effective therapy helps you develop the freedom to reflect upon your experience, become clearer about your needs and those of others, and use this to find more genuine ways of living.
