My Approach to Helping
Starting therapy is a brave and healthy decision and to support my clients, I do my best to offer a compassionate space and to honor each client's individual journey towards health and wholeness.
My therapeutic approach to helping clients is empathic, non-judgmental, relational, and wholistic. I work with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, eating disorder, PTSD, family issues, grief, acculturation, and adoption issues. As a former RN, I am also comfortable working with clients who have chronic illnesses or identify as caregivers. I am a Northwestern graduate and psychodynamically trained. I also incorporate mindfulness and body-mind teachings. I see young adults, adults, and couples.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
In additions to seeing clients in a traditional office setting, I also offer Gestalt Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Horses are amazing beings that can offer deep insight, wisdom, and non-judmental acceptance. Horses can often help clients see how their behaviors impact those around them. I received my training and certification from the Gestalt Equine Institute of the Rockies in Golden, CO. I am passionate about horses and am grateful to be in their company. I also do Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma survivors. EMDR is a valuable tool that is an effective treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
