For better or worse our early relationships strongly impact our emotional experiences as adults, often in ways we do not understand. If you're dissatisfied in your life, you probably have tried to find solutions on your own before considering contacting a therapist. Or maybe you tried therapy and it only helped you temporarily or partially, but never got to the heart of the problem. I work with adults and couples facing challenges and who seek a deeper understanding of themselves.
There is a biological need to feel understood that exists within all of us, which is where our emotional life exists. Therapy is a process where you examine your thoughts and feelings, and in the process become more connected to yourself. I draw from extensive education, training and experience, and identify anxieties and repetitive patterns that interfere with the initiation or maintenance of intimate relationships.
In-depth therapy focuses on the individual's emotional experiences in their relationships in order to create change. Although the emphasis is on present relationships, understanding and insight is gained through recognizing old relational patterns that have a huge influence on one's current life.
All people suffer sometimes from frustration, emotional distress and dissastisfaction. Even if you do not have mental health issues, therapy can help you overcome obstacles that have kept you from your path to self-fulfillment.

What Makes up a Problem?
Through neuroscience we now understand more about genetics versus environmental influences. It seems that genetics predispose us to develop a certain way. But our experiences, including all of our interactions with others, have a signficant impact on how our predispositions are expressed.
