Seen on Dr. Phil, Downsized, Growth to Freedom, etc. I will help you explore your problems in a comprehensive and holistic manner while simultaneously working toward solutions you can begin implementing today. Clients are given action plans to work on in between sessions. I also provide coaching to help put you on the path to the more successful and healthy life that you deserve. I work with individual adults, couples, adolescents, and families experiencing a variety of problems.
I have appeared on the Dr. Phil show and serve as a treating psychologist for Arizona guests appearing on the show. Similarly, I have served the same role for Dr. Drew's Lifechangers. I also have appeared on the reality TV series Downsized as the marital therapist for the couple followed on that show. Additionally, I have appeared in local news/information programs as well as serve as a guest expert for radio programs. I have been published in both scholarly journals and in books pertaining to mental health and treatment. I also have been quoted in several newspapers and national magazines.
My educational background includes: B.A. in Psychology from the University of California-Berkeley; M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia; clinical internship at the University of Illinois-Chicago; post-doctoral fellowship at ASU; and clinical residency at a local psychology clinic.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Actively participating in therapy is the furthest from being weak. It takes great strength to admit and face struggles, challenges, and issues. Further, it takes great strength to be open to learning to do different to get different versus repeating the same old unhealthy patterns. It is actually weak to ignore, deny, or live in avoidance despite not being happy or having what you want because you are afraid.
