My approach to psychotherapy is based on this notion that emotional well-being, spiritual health, personal development and fulfillment from life occur in the presence of supportive, positive relationships. No man or woman is an island: We need others to survive, and to thrive. Securing life-affirming relationships can be incredibly challenging and difficult. Stress from day to day life, troublesome habits, ineffective relationship patterns and fears of closeness have a tendency to leave people without a sense of grounding or connection. In general, my approach involves facilitating the development of healthy relationships: Relationships with oneself and one's identity, with significant others, with culture and with the community.
