What's My Approach to Therapy?

You know something isn't working. Maybe you're successful on paper but feel disconnected from your partner, your kids, yourself. Maybe you're going through a divorce, and the ground has shifted under your feet. Maybe anger keeps showing up when you don't want it to, or you're stuck in a cycle of anxiety that you've been powering through for years. You've been handling things on your own for a long time. But "handling it" isn't the same as actually dealing with it — and you're starting to feel the cost. I've spent 20 years working with men who are navigating exactly these kinds of crossroads — relationship breakdowns, career pressure, identity questions, the weight of being the one who holds everything together. I'm direct, I'm practical, and I won't waste your time. We'll figure out what's actually going on, what you want, and how to get there. We'll look at the patterns driving your behavior, understand where they came from, build real skills for managing your emotions and relationships, and get you moving toward the life you actually want. Ready to talk? Call me for a free 15-minute consultation. No pressure, no commitment. Just a conversation.

My Practice & Services

I'm a licensed counselor who has been in private practice for 18 years. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 22 years in the corporate world at a Fortune 100 tech company after earning my undergraduate degree in engineering. I also lived in Hong Kong for a year and a half, and I'm married with four children. This combination of experiences—corporate career, cross-cultural living, family life, and clinical training—shapes how I work with clients facing career transitions, family challenges, and major life changes. My Own Journey I've experienced my own frustrations: unfulfilled hopes, wanting more from life, not knowing how to bridge the gap between where I was and where I wanted to be. Through personal work, I've learned to better understand myself, express my needs, listen to others, and respond thoughtfully rather than reactively. My Approach I'm empathetic but direct. I'm genuinely curious about your story and believe people can change when they're motivated. I'll be straightforward—no sugarcoating—but always optimistic about what's possible. I have a sense of humor (sometimes ironic or dark) and a deep belief in accepting what we cannot change while taking action on what we can. Counseling has helped me, and it can help you—if you're willing. My Philosophy We're all works in progress. We don't ever truly "arrive"—even when we get what we want, we eventually want something else. Life is about the journey. Living in the present, actively pursuing what matters, facing fears, and not always avoiding pain—these are essential to living a rich, full life.
