My Approach to Helping
I believe in people's ability to Heal, Grow, and Change. Through counseling people can identify areas of their life that may need attention. My work with individuals is based from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. CBT is an approach that emphasizes the importance of our thoughts in how we feel and what we do. CBT is an effective approach for treatment of depression and anxiety as well as many other mood disorders. Other modalities that are included in my practice are; Existential Psychotherapy, Positive Psychology,Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness.

I enjoy working with people who are ready and willing to change their lives and desire to become more healthy. I enjoy working with adolescents and I am dedicated in creating a safe and free space for expression. Furthermore, I commit to listening non-judgmentally with compassion for all.

It is important to form clear goals with clients and work towards those goals by discovering healthy steps and identifying ineffective behaviors. I also believe that life happens in between sessions and do my best to make myself available to clients in need of communication between appointments, and during crisis.
