My Approach to Helping
I am committed to providing a confidential therapeutic relationship that is both safe and supportive. I offer you an opportunity to face your difficulties constructively and confidently. As a licensed professional counselor I am trained to listen and interact in a way that helps you get to the very root of your emotional concerns for good. I focus on each person as an individual, understanding that we are all unique in our experiences; I primarily utilize cognitive-behavioral, rational emotive behavior therapy and eclectic modalities to address the areas of mind, body and spirit. My goal is to help my client achieve personal empowerment and hope for a full and satisfying life. It can be rather intimidating to seek help, but please realize that no one is exempt from the challenges of life; from experiencing the pain of a death, divorce, bankruptcy, loneliness, racing thoughts, mood swings, etc. If your body is in pain, you take something for it. If you are diagnosed with a physical illness, you seek treatment. Well your mental health is just as important. If you have the resolve, together we can work through your struggles. Stop suffering in silence and get the help you deserve. Give me a call and let's meet so you can see if my practice is right for you.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Going to therapy does not mean a person is weak or flawed. On the contrary; it takes a strong individualswho is willing to be honest with self and someone else to reach out for help and to be willing to engage in the therapuetic process. Therapy is work! First one must realize that an opportunity for positive change and a better, healthier future awaits them if they are willing to press towards their goals. Therapy sometimes involves introspection (looking within);may reqire that one to face his/her fears that has paralyzed their progress ,or simply help one to gain more insight and better ways of coping. Whatever the goal, the process is necessary and very fulfilling.
