While compassion is the cornerstone of my practice, I will also offer direct feedback at times. My goal is to help you manage your stress more easily, whether you experience depression, anxiety, or relationship difficulties.

We all repeat dynamics in our life. While some of these dynamics are useful to us, some can be debilitating - preventing us from the relationships or careers that we desire. As a psychologist I will work with you to help you gain more choice in deciding how to live your life, rather than being stuck in repetitive patterns.

If the process of psychotherapy goes well it can help you achieve greater freedom and intimacy in your relationships, gain self-esteem, and develop a stronger sense of purpose. I provide both individual psychotherapy and couples counseling / marital therapy.

More Info About My Practice

I work in private practice at Silver Lake Psychotherapy, which is near to Hollywood, Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Atwater, Echo Park, Highland Park, and Downtown LA. While I work with all kinds of people, I specialize in psychotherapy within the gay & lesbian community, as well as broader issues around sexuality. I have worked as a therapist in hospital, clinic, and private settings.

I am currently supervising two interns who are able to offer high quality therapy on a sliding scale. Therefore therapy is available at my practice between $60-$190 per session. Psychiatric services are also available through Silver Lake Psychotherapy if needed.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy offers a unique place for people to get direct and more objective feedback than they are often able to get in their other relationships. Through the psychotherapeutic process a person may grow to increase his or her freedom in relationships - both personal and professional.
