My Approach to Helping
We all repeat dynamics in our life. While some of these dynamics are useful to us, some can be debilitating - preventing us from the relationships or careers that we desire. As a psychologist I hope to help you have more choice in deciding how you would like to live your life, rather than being stuck in the same, repetitive patterns.
While compassion and empathy are the cornerstones of my practice I will also challenge you to see things in new and direct ways. My therapy goals include helping you gain self-esteem, achieve greater freedom and intimacy in your relationships, and develop a stronger sense of purpose.
More Info About My Practice
I practice in the Silver Lake / Los Feliz area of Los Angeles.
As a therapist I use a variety of treatments to help patients overcome ailments such as depression, anxiety, addiction, and relationship problems.
One area of specialty is working with gay and lesbian patients in both individual psychotherapy and couples counseling.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy offers a unique place for people to get direct and more objective feedback than they are often able to get in their other relationships. Through the psychotherapeutic process a person may grow to increase his or her freedom in relationships - both personal and professional.
