My Approach to Helping
Are you struggling, feeling stagnate, having trouble moving beyond traumatic events or having relationship difficulties? I help people navigate and get past these all too common problems. These issues can lead to depression, low self esteem, anxiety, or even worse when not addressed.
For the past 20 years I've been passionate about providing individualized, kind, solution-based therapy for people of all ages. I create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment using a client-centered and holistic approach. Together we will determine what the important issues affecting your life are. We will discover how you can resolve those issues and find new skills for managing your life so you can move on.

One of my specialty niches is helping families transition through the launch and empty nest phase of life. I help prepare young adults to be successfully launched, making sure they are emotionally and socially well-equipped. I also help their parents adjust to this new phase of life and get excited about what?s next.
I am also certified in a technique called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR clears both big and small traumas in a relatively easy and fast way with long lasting results. I am certified as a life coach as well.

What I Usually Need to Know to Help
In order for us to work together and begin effective therapy or life coaching, I need to know a few things about you! Most of all, I'll need to know what you are coming into therapy for and what you hoping to get out of our time together. I also need to know some history about your life and learn about when the issues you are struggling with. A basic overview of when the issue began to develop and how it has played out in your life is a great start to get us connected and on the path to healing.
