My Approach to Helping

Aristotle said, "Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence." How to achieve happiness, contentment, and meaning in our lives is the existential question. I believe in a collaborative approach and my philosophy is, the meaning one chooses to attach to their subjective experiences create consciousness, which becomes the foundation of how you perceive or create your personal reality.

Simply put as an example, do I attach a meaning of being a victim or feeling bad regarding my past or will I choose to attach a different meaning in my present as a way to create a teaching moment? Change in a belief system is not easy and takes patience and time. My goal is to help you create a different consciousness where you feel whole and empowered. You do not have to be a prisoner of your past in the present.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy can provide you with a safe space to face your struggles and challenges without judgement. The therapy session can become a place of collaboration and support with the goal to feeling empowered and whole.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

Collaboration in the therapeutic process has been the strongest piece to building the Patient-Therapist alliance. As a licensed Marriage Family Therapist the scope of practice revolves around relationship. My strongest skill is helping you create a sense of meaning and purpose in your life by creating meaningful relationships. The starting point is relationship is with ourselves. When we feel a solid sense of self, then building relationships and all the complications that come with relationship becomes easier.
