My Approach to Helping
Toni Davis is a Nationally Certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-NC) with over 10 years of experience treating adults and couples who are suffering from concerns or conditions related to anxiety, depression, grief, loss, relationship dysfunction, low self-esteem, divorce, trauma, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), and more. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Toni primarily utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solutions-focused, and person-centered therapy methods in sessions. She is also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and the Gottman Method for couples. At some point in our lives, we all experience problems we just can’t handle on our own. Toni wants you to know—it’s okay to ask for help. In fact, asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. She'll listen to you with empathy and without judgment. Together, you'll fully explore what’s causing you trouble and develop a plan for improving your life.
