My Approach to Helping
I am committed to providing compassionate counseling services in a warm, friendly environment that will help you find a sense of balance and hope for your life and relationships. I combine understanding with practical steps for moving forward in life. I will work as a facilitator to help you identify your goals, develop inner strengths and learn new skills that can help you achieve personal growth and increased well-being.
As physical, mental and spiritual beings, I believe that all of us are changing and growing throughout our lives. At times though, we can feel as though we are treading water rather than moving forward. Participating in counseling can help you work through the stuck places in your life as you cultivate a sense of life balance, enhanced personal growth and renewed hope for the present and future. Blending theoretical and practical approaches, I draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. I will work with you to help you find hope and healing as you identify your unique strengths, skills and abilities to create meaning and achieve life goals.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
When we already feel overwhelmed or discouraged, the task of choosing a therapist can a challenge. I encourage you to consider the process of finding a therapist to be a positive step towards helping yourself to feel healthy again. Choosing to take care of yourself is a first step towards hope and healing!
Many people find a therapist through a referral from a friend, family member or doctor. Others locate their therapist using search engines such as the one you are reviewing on Good Therapy.
Carefully read their profiles and their list of specialties to decide if their skills will meet your needs. Read through their credentials to ensure that they have the training appropriate for your concerns. If you will be using insurance, contact the Counselor or office to ensure that they are able to process your insurance claim or provide you with invoices to submit.
