My Approach to Helping
I take a whole-person wellness approach in my therapy practice. I have a background in nursing and worked within the medical system for many years, so knowledge of how the mind and body work together towards overall health informs my work. I can speak the language of the medical establishment, and understand how physical illnesses also affect emotional and relational functioning. I strive to collaborate with clients to help them achieve their individual and relationship goals, manage stress, balance the personal and professional parts of their lives, rediscover fun and creativity, and develop new, healthy habits towards improving life satisfaction.
