My Approach to Helping
Roussel Javier is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has over a decade of experience in human services, working closely with the elderly population for over 9 years, and over 5 years in mental healthcare serving children, young adults, adults, couples, and families. She is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families who are dealing with different challenges that life brings, with the goal of building their resilience and resources in the process. Roussel completed her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University. She is an eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP) who is highly dedicated and passionate about attachment and trauma-informed care. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, person-centered therapy, and and eclectic approaches. She is also a PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy) provider for families/parents who need support in dealing with their children’s behavioral issues.
