My Approach to Helping
Maybe even though you’ve been trying your best, you're still struggling to shake the anxiety or depression that’s always clung to you. Or maybe life used to feel full of excitement and opportunity and over time you lost them and now you just feel like you’re going through the motions. Maybe there have been some dramatic shifts in your personal or professional life that you thought you’d have recovered from by now, but haven’t yet.
I believe that our flaws and struggles don’t have to be the things that define us, but that we all possess the ability to overcome the challenges that face us to build a life worth living. Sometimes the only way out of what we’ve been stuck in is through it – to face the things that have been holding us back while taking another step toward our future.
The process of therapy looks different for everyone. For some it means evaluating values, for others, it's about shifting thought, feeling, and behavioral patterns. Regardless, it will almost always require taking that first step. To me, therapy is that space where we can map out where we’re at, where we want to be, and the best way to get there.
