My Approach to Helping
I specialize in working with survivors of childhood trauma, and individuals committed to healing issues related to trauma, acute trauma, anxiety, depression, family of origin issues, insecure relationship patterns, physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, abandonment, and grief. Trauma can change us profoundly, leaving us in survival mode, feeling disempowered and disconnected from ourselves and others.
Collaboratively, we will work together to identify your strengths, reduce the symptoms that are impairing your daily functioning, change painful thought patterns and behaviors, and develop and utilize healthy coping skills. There’s no one-size-fits-all model for treatment; I utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities tailored to every client’s needs.
I work from a strengths-based perspective that is nurturing, affirming, holistic, supportive, and non-judgmental. Recovery cannot occur in isolation. Together, we will explore your inner and outer worlds, with the aim of helping you restore a sense of safety, power, and healing. My goal is to help you experience profound self-love and relational health.
