My Approach to Helping
Everyone thinks you are fine, but you go to work and no one can tell that you’re struggling inside. You feel depressed, anxious, worn down. All you want to do is sleep and shut out the world. The self-contempt, criticism, and doubt are real, and they are relentless. You want to reach out for help but feel guilty, even selfish. By putting everyone else at the top of your list, you’ve neglected and dishonored yourself. What you really want is to feel a sense of worth, like you belong, like you have something to contribute to this vast world.
Hey, haven't we met before? You’re the woman who wants to feel Empowered. Well, what would it FEEL like to stop playing small and truly show up with excitement? Together, my associates and I here at SolRiver Counseling, LLC specialize in working with individuals one-to-one through an acceptance and solution-focused framework.
More Info About My Practice
Our aim at SolRiver Counseling is to provide individuals the opportunity to cherish their bodies, their minds, and their spirit so they can Show Up BIG and without Reservation.
I'm sure you'll find that my team and I are very passionate and highly versed mental health counselors trained in working with culturally diverse people. The approach we take to therapy is founded on the principle that people can overcome life’s adversities by modifying aspects of life that no longer serve who they are or what they stand for.
My team and I aim to teach the infinite power of self-acceptance and the art of self-help to assist our clients in moving past feelings of self-defeat into a world where they value themselves and others more fully. So if you are struggling with your relationships, self-esteem, depression, or anxiety, among other issues you will start to feel better from the very start.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
Prior to 2015, I struggled with poor self-esteem, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I was bitter toward myself and others and didn't know how to really enjoy life. I started turning to drugs and alcohol to cope with my fears and insecurities. Today, I can look back and give gratitude for the lessons while moving forward in a more empowered, less victimized, way. Here's my journey...
Upon visiting Costa Rica in 2015, I discovered something, and it changed the trajectory of my life. What I discovered was that, the more I tapped into my own sexuality through the expressive arts and psychotherapy and identified this piece that I?d kept hidden, the more FULL I felt. Not just in my intimate relationships, but in every area of my life. That was the happiest and most driven I had ever been.
So, I started to explore, research, and educate myself on the practices I learned there: Psychology, spirituality, meditation, yoga, dance, art, and music. What I discovered is that the more I accessed my own creative spirit, my own sexual sovereignty, the more self-confident I became. I realized that sexuality isn't only about sex; It's about the juiciness and joy that I had been missing for so long!?
Through accessing inner aspects of myself, through different tailored practices, I took back my POWER, tapped into my CREATIVE, DIVINE SPIRIT, my INTUITION, and to this day, I continue to learn HOW to trust myself and be confident, from the inside, out.
These are the very same practices you will receive when you choose yourself and say YES to tailored psychotherapy with SolRiver Counseling! My greatest passion is empowering women who have been through some of the same struggles I've been through to see their own light, their own majestic, radiance and discover the inner QUEEN that exists within them even in their darkest hour!
Won't you Journey with Me on a Path to Self-Discovery, to Self-Love, and Powerful Alignment with Your Greatest Truth!?
