My Approach to Helping
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are impacted by such struggles as: life changes, relationship problems, depression, trauma, attachment trauma, PTSD, and eating disorders. My counseling experience includes helping individuals through the complex emotions that come from relationships, break-ups, and divorce. I have particular expertise in working with teens and adults from “broken” homes who struggle with self-esteem and healthy relationships with others.
As a clinical therapist, I use approaches from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) when I work with clients. I am passionate about helping people create and sustain meaningful change through support, compassion, humor, and insight.
