My Approach to Helping

Are you a teen, young adult or adult, who feels stifled by anxiety, depression or overwhelm? Are you trying to navigate relationships, and decisions about your life? Are you facing grief, loss and change? Were your concerns present before, but exacerbated due to recent events? My practice is here for you in this time of unprecedented loss, isolation, and uncertainty. I support people in navigating these types of challenges and coming into greater clarity, connection, self assuredness, ease and peace about where you are now and where you want to go.

Life can be hard and confusing! Whatever you are experiencing, you do not have to go through it alone. I have a client centered, compassionate, and integrative approach; incorporating mind, body, spirit as well as considering community and cultural contexts to help clients engage in authentic and deep work. I love using creativity, the arts and writing to support clients in their self discovery. I also often use somatic practices and mindfulness to help clients heal from the inside out.

It’s a big step to seek support. Your life is important and worthy of care. Therapy is not always easy but neither is living in discomfort. You can get to the other side. If you have landed on my page and think we would work well together please call for a free consultation and I would be glad to discuss options with you.

More Info About My Practice

I am an online therapist. This means that I will not be meeting you at a physical location or office. You are responsible for having a reliable place to attend your psychotherapy sessions. It is recommended that this location be one that is private and has a consistent internet connection.

Much of what we would do in person, in an office setting, can be adapted to this format. Online therapy is flexible, decreases our carbon footprint by requiring less travel, and has the benefit of being able to do deep work in the comfort of your home or chosen location. I am also very mindful of screen fatigue and am happy to work with you to have an embodied and satisfying online therapy experience. I am happy to discuss the pros and cons of using this format to determine if it is right for you. I use HIPPA compliant software.

I see clients located in California.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I became a psychotherapist because I love people and I am awed and humbled by the range of our human experience. I draw upon my passion for art, psychology, spirituality and nature to support people to engage in authentic, healing and deep work. Working with a range of ages from children to elders, I find that each stage of life comes with a unique set of challenges and gifts.

I believe that in bringing consciousness and intentionality to the important moments in our lives we can create a life that is profound, beautiful, deep, connected and meaningful. Helping people to recognize, reflect on, integrate, heal and celebrate these moments is what I do.
