My Approach to Helping
Counseling is a learning/educating event which builds a relationship based on trust and professionalism. I believe in building a trusting relationship to help promote change by listening and communicating that you are not alone and I am listening. My goal is to help a person develop the coping skills they need to work through past difficulties and future worries which leads to living more for the present.

I use a range of different modalities which are based on a person's needs and strengths such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, and Solution Focus. My experience includes working with adults who are experiencing life transitions, depression, anxiety and symptoms related to trauma to promote a more positive outlook which leads to a happier life.
