My Approach to Helping

My approach to helping is active, personalized, and grounded in the belief that real change happens when insight is paired with emotional clarity and practical action. I work with clients who are often highly motivated for change—people who may have tried other ways to feel better, including therapy, and still feel stuck. Together, we focus on creating a different kind of experience: one where you feel truly understood, supported, and challenged in meaningful ways.

I create a safe, comfortable, and down-to-earth space where you can explore both the pain and the possibilities. I draw from a blend of therapeutic approaches, including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, mindfulness, and strength-based techniques. This allows me to meet you where you are and adapt the work to your unique needs and goals.

Whether you’re working through trauma, navigating life transitions, managing anxiety or attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), or facing relationship struggles, I help you reconnect with your strengths, build healthier patterns, and move toward the life you want. My approach is relational, practical, and always centered on your growth—not just in understanding your challenges, but in feeling differently and living more fully.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

I do this work because I deeply believe in the human capacity for healing and change?even when it feels out of reach. I?ve seen how people can carry so much pain, insight, and effort, and still feel stuck. That gap?between knowing something needs to change and actually feeling and living differently?is where I focus my work. It?s incredibly meaningful to walk with someone through that space and help them find clarity, relief, and hope.

Many of the people I work with have been trying to manage on their own for a long time. They?re often high-functioning in some areas but quietly struggling in others. I've witnessed how validating it can be to finally feel understood, and how transformative it is when emotional understanding and action come into alignment.

Helping others reconnect with their strengths, deepen their relationships, and find peace around old or current wounds is why I do this. I?m especially drawn to supporting those navigating trauma, transitions, and relational challenges, because I know how isolating and overwhelming those experiences can be. My "why" is rooted in offering a space that feels safe, real, and productive?a place where clients don?t just talk, but actually shift.
