My Approach to Helping
Mieasha Edmonds is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 13 years of experience. She has worked with adolescents, the elderly, and adults who struggle with addiction, grief, loss, anxiety, trauma, depression, substance use, psychosis, and life stressors. Mieasha is a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. She believes that everyone deserves to be loved and understood. She is passionate about helping others heal. Mieasha completed her Master's degree in Counseling at the Houston Graduate School of Theology. She also holds a Master of Divinity. Her experience in ministry, another helping field, has given her the skillset to help others navigate difficulties in life while providing encouragement and guidance. Her therapeutic approach is more integrative, consisting of person-centered therapy (PCT), solutions-focused therapy (SFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and strengths-based therapy (SBT). Talking to a stranger can be a bit unnerving and most of us are opposed to the idea of sharing our most intimate thoughts. However, Mieasha will honor the space by being transparent, supportive, and honest. She will work to help teach you the skills you need to cope and challenge faulty thinking. If you are ready for something new, book your first appointment with her today.
