My Approach to Helping
I believe real healing happens when we approach all parts of you, not just the symptoms on the surface, but the deeper layers underneath.
My work is grounded in internal family systems (IFS) therapy, a powerful model that helps you understand and build relationships with the different "parts" inside you, the ones that protect you, the ones that hold pain, and the ones that may feel stuck or overwhelmed. IFS teaches that you are not broken; your mind has simply adapted to life experiences in the best ways it knew how. Together, we'll help these parts feel seen, heard, and ultimately healed.
Alongside IFS, I often weave in principles from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, self-compassion practices, and, when it fits your needs, exposure therapy in a gentle, supportive way. Whether it's anxiety, OCD, trauma, or grief, we'll work both at the surface level, reducing distress in your daily life, and at the root, helping old patterns and wounds release their grip.
When appropriate, I’m also experienced in supporting clients who are working with psychedelic-assisted therapies. Psychedelics can sometimes soften rigid defenses and open access to deeper healing, but only if integrated thoughtfully. Whether you've had experiences with substances like ketamine, psilocybin, MDMA, or are considering it, we can create a safe, grounded space to make meaning of those experiences through an IFS lens, helping you process what comes up with curiosity, compassion, and care.
No two journeys look the same. Some people need direct tools and strategies to feel more stable first; others are ready to dive into the deeper healing right away. Either way, our work together will be collaborative, paced to fit you, and always rooted in respect for the inner wisdom you already carry.
