What's My Approach to Therapy?
Finding a therapist can be an overwhelming process, generally at a time when you are already struggling with whatever prompted you to seek clinical support. Throughout the course of my career, I have found the primary thing that unites most folks is a search for someone who makes them feel accepted, safe, and comfortable as they work through their challenges. Above all, that's my primary focus. I welcome you to have an initial consult with me, and if I strike you as a good fit, let's get to achieving your treatment goals!
I have spent the last 15 years treating trauma, addiction, and other mental health concerns with adults and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings. I tailor my approach to meet each person's needs using eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-based therapies, internal family systems (IFS), motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), with a hope to engage mind, body, and soul in the therapeutic process.
