My Approach to Helping
Seeking help can seem scary. Whether you have experienced on-going struggles, are in the midst of something new, or you have decided that you want to be proactive and make a change, therapy is a place that offers solace for many. I aim to guide my clients through various modalities and techniques to meet them where they are. It is my honor and privilege to be able to walk alongside you for this part of your journey. I have worked extensively with populations that struggle with self esteem, anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, parenting, co-parenting, personality disorders and children, teens, college-aged.
I offer a client-centered, empathic and humanistic approach to therapy. I enjoy utilizing a narrative approach to help you write the story you want to live. My belief is that connection and trust are the key to healthy relationships, and it is my goal to connect with each client and instill hope. I want to help you write a story you love for your life.
Therapy is a beautiful process where we take all that you believe is broken and guide you in finding hope and healing. We all just need someone to listen sometimes, and therapy is a safe place to be heard and to be authentically you. While I cant promise things will suddenly get better, I can promise that I will be there through the process of healing.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Therapy is a place that you can go to be authentically and unapologetically yourself. I offer a warm, inviting and non-judgmental space to work through any unresolved or current issues you may be facing. We all have periods in our lives where we need someone else to listen and be there to support us. Therapy is a place where you can grow into the person you have always wanted to be. It offers hope, help and the ability to work toward and obtain healing.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love having the honor and privilege of walking along side you through such a formative journey. Of seeing you in your moments of clarity and allowing you a safe space to feel whatever you need to feel. Being a therapist is my heart work. I believe firmly that all appointments are divine, and while we may not be from the same "walk of life," or have the same beliefs, I know that if you are led to work with me, there is a purpose. It is such a beautiful experience being able to work with someone who comes in struggling and hurting, and evolves into the person they were always meant to become. Change and healing are possible, and seeing that every day is what I love most.
My Role as a Therapist
I believe my role as a therapist is to serve as a guide. You are an expert in your own life, and I simply come alongside you, help you connect dots and allow you to have a safe, non-judgmental place to process and gain the skills you would like to live a life you can love. There is no magic to therapy, and while I cant promise that everything will suddenly get better, I can promise that I will be there to see you through the healing process.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
Therapy is a very personal process, and not every therapist is a good fit for every client. I encourage you to reach out and find someone you can trust and build healthy rapport with. A therapist that will support your goals and personal growth, who will challenge you and guide you in the direction you would like to go. Therapy is all about the connection between therapist and client, if you have had a bad experience in the past, I am so sorry to hear that. I know how damaging that can be, but please know that it is okay to reach out and try to connect with another therapist. This is your process, and I will be here to help in any way I can.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
One of the things I always tell my clients is that I didn't end up on this side of the couch without having my own struggles to work through. I have endured, as many of you have, trials that no one should ever have to. I have worked hard to process and learn to cope with my own trauma(s), anxiety and panic. I know the pain these things inflict on your life, and how helpless you can feel. But I also know that healing and redemption are possible. In this life we will always face trials and tribulations, but it is my heart belief that there is always something to be learned in the trials. What is supposed to break us, can help make us who we were always meant to become. That in no way justifies the things we have had to endure or will endure, but it means that we are going to use it and not allow it to destroy us. Had I not walked through the darkness, had I not been stranded in the valley, I would not have become the empathic, loving and inclusive person I am today. My tests have become my testimony, and I believe that yours can too.
