Hello! I'm Dr. Chyneitha Cook. Thank you for visiting my profile. I have provided a variety of mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults within multiculturally-diverse communities in Southern California. My clinical focus is on assisting women with mental health issues that directly affect them in their various roles in life. Such roles might include being business owners, mothers, partners, friends, daughters, helpers, educators, and others. I assist clients with working through issues that arise for them, given the unique complexity that often surrounds the integration of such roles.

As a woman striving to maintain an intersection of roles in life, have you ever been worried, frustrated, or just plain disappointed with certain situations in your life? Perhaps your issues are current, or maybe they have been resurfacing, with no resolution. Seeking help is a big step, but it's a step in the right direction. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and depression. My clients learn to consider all aspects of their functioning as human beings (biological, psychological, spiritual, etc.). I will assist you with developing a plan for working through the past or current situations that are hindering your progress in life, so that you can begin to function more effectively, and thrive. As a multicultural therapist, I enjoy working with clients from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. My clients also present with a variety of faiths--Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and others. I appreciate diversity and consider each client's unique values, beliefs, experiences, identities, and strengths, during their journey toward healing. As an integrative therapist, I am primarily cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and psychodynamic in orientation. I provide teletherapy services for residents throughout the state of California, via a secure, HIPAA-Compliant portal.
