My Approach to Helping
As a mental HEALTH counselor and life coach, I operate from the assumption that everyone Is born with the ability to be well and thrive regardless of past or current circumstances, experiences or genetics. My goal and passion is to help people see they are already potentially well and not broken, ill or disordered. In my view, true mental HEALTH is not just the absence of symptoms, it consists of peace of mind, resilience, wisdom, love, understanding, gratitude, acceptance, forgiveness and much more. I am dedicated to helping people access these qualities of innate mental wellness through deep listening, respectful dialogue and education on fundamental principles that explain how the human mind works. I am grateful to be able to work from a framework that allows me to listen to the whole person and not through the lens of diagnoses or symptoms.
My sessions are present moment focused, conversational, positive and informative. I meet people where they are and point them back to the source of their natural mental health and wellness that has never been lost, even though it may seem like it has.
I could not ask for more rewarding or fulfilling work. I am inspired by the transformations I see everyday.

My Role as a Therapist
Let me first say that as a therapist, I am not the expert on your mental health, YOU are. I bring education, skills and experience to the session to help you rediscover your well-being and health. I see my role as a listener a mental HEALTH educator, promoter and guide. I know people are capable of tapping their inner source of peace, resilience and well-being --my job is simply to show them how.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Every human being suffers to some degree with emotional pain, relationship conflicts, insecurity, fears, feeling down, life challenges and many other concerns. Knowing when to ask for help is not always easy or clear. It takes self awareness, willingness to change and courage to seek out counseling from an unknown person. I believe there is no such thing as being weak or flawed. Human beings innocently get caught up in emotional and mental suffering and lose sight of their wellbeing. As a therapist and coach I am continually inspired by the wisdom and resilience I see in all the people who work with me.
