My Approach to Helping
I am determined to help my clients reach a place of empowerment in their lives over their personal health, as well as overall goals and aspirations. I work from a biopsychosocial lens in treating the whole person. I am trained in various modalities of therapy and use an integrative lens tailoring treatment to each individual and their specific needs. Orientations that align mostly with my philosophy of care include Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems Therapy all through a Client-Centered lens that leads with unconditional positive regard & empathy.
My specialties include but are not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Chronic Illness (for both individuals and couples), Grief & Loss, Couples and Marital Stress, Life (stress, finding purpose, major events), Relational Challenges, Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Eating Disorders.
I incorporate “out of the box” techniques such as nature, art, & music as a means for healing. My passion for mental health & well-being comes from my personal experience in overcoming chronic health challenges where I saw first-hand how interconnected our bodies & minds are.
