My Approach to Helping
I specialize in the psychotherapeutic treatment of children (above the age of 6), adolescents, and adults with anxiety conditions and/or obsessive compulsion (OCD). I also provide therapy for LGBTQ+ identifying individuals seeking mental health support. I am trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP) Therapy. I am a mother and believe in the value of providing family therapy through a team-based approach. I utilize evidence-based interventions and strive to create a safe, non-judgemental, and trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients and their families. As a former teacher and certified special education specialist, I provide support for identified learners by focusing on self-advocacy skills and self-esteem. I also provide consultations for families looking for support with their child’s new learning diagnosis and provide accommodation recommendations for Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
