My Approach to Helping

I provide a non-anxious, welcoming space to process life, transitions, and trauma. I am genuine, compassionate, and patient. I believe we all become our best selves with validation and acceptance and shame is never a motivator for lasting change. I specialize in perinatal mental health (perinatal and postpartum anxiety, depression, OCD, birth trauma, conception, loss, miscarriage, fertility struggles, etc.) for both birthers and partners, women's mental health, parenting struggles, and faith transitionsspiritual trauma. I am also experienced with Borderline Personality Disorder.

More Info About My Practice

In addition to perinatal mental health, I work with women in areas of relationships, self-criticism and perfectionism, family of origin processing, sexuality, gender role imbalances, mental load, and stress.

I am also very familiar with Evangelical Christianity -- its language, taboos, structures and missionary life. Whether you are transitioning within your faith, away from faith, to other faith, or staying planted in your faith, I help you process your experiences in the place you are with the values you hold. I firmly believe people need listeners who can help them question and wonder without anxiety or agendas about their spiritual end point or eternal well-being.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

If you have had a negative therapy experience, you aren't alone. I have too! It can be so difficult to know what we are walking into and who we are sharing our stories -- ourselves -- with. I aim to make therapy a collaborative process, to offer my whole genuine self without centering myself, and to create a relationship where it is safe for you to tell me when you want something different. Let's chat on the phone and see what steps we might take together, even if it is just a referral to someone else.
