My Approach to Helping

You might be wondering if counseling is right for you. Sometimes taking the first step can be the most difficult. Having the support of someone who truly empathizes and is there to listen is valuable. Through counseling you can gain a fresh perspective, learn positive ways to cope with problems and become empowered to have a more fulfilling life. Together we will formulate goals for therapy and work together to meet your specific needs. I offer a confidential, safe, non-judgmental space where you can be heard. We will focus on healing and change in a supportive and caring environment.

I specialize in treating a variety of issues including: trauma (including PTSD), anxiety, depression, relationship issues, communication skills, self-esteem work, self-regulation, life direction, rumination, bipolar, grief, parenting, attachment issues and codependency, among others.

More Info About My Practice

After working as a mental health therapist in various settings, I decided to start my own private practice. I have found that I can give greater attention to each client in this setting, and thus meet their individual needs more effectively. My approach is specific to each client, and based on each client's strengths. I pride myself on combining the art of counseling with evidence-based, scientific therapy methods.

My Role as a Therapist

Therapy is a mix of both art and science. It is my job to find the balance of these, as they specifically relate to each client. Counseling is a collaborative effort, where the counselor is the guide and the client supplies valuable insights and knowledge of their unique life journey.
