My Approach to Helping

I am a licensed professional counselor who specializes in helping people achieve more satisfying relationships. My practice focuses on fostering stronger bonds between spouses, lovers, or family members. Whether I am working with a couple or an individual, I first seek to deeply understand your concerns and needs. Then, we'll work together in a collaborative manner to achieve your goals for counseling. I believe that struggles with anxiety, grief, anger, and other concerns must be seen through the lens of our most significant relationships to achieve the most satisfying and lasting results. We’ll work at discovering the root causes of your distress to see how they might be connected to relationship conflicts. I provide plenty of encouragement along the way. I'd love to talk with you further and answer any questions you may have.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

60-70% of my practice is marriage or pre-marital counseling. Most people know that life simply works better when they are kind to their spouse and family members. But just knowing what to do and being able to do it can be two different things! True learning includes an understanding of each other?s emotions and having the experience of new conversations and behaviors. I?m specifically trained in Discernment Counseling, which can be helpful if one of you is leaning out of the relationship. I often help people determine whether or not couples counseling would be helpful through a specific structure of questions and sessions done both together and individually. It excites me to see that all the training I have in relationships can help couples have more fun and security with their partners. I like to think of it as saving the world one couple at a time. What could be better than that?
