My Approach to Helping
Hello,
It is a brave decision to chose therapy, to chose healing, to chose change. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist that focuses on the unconscious, biological, and emotional factors that contribute to our stuck patterns in life and relationships. Talking to a mental health professional can bring these patterns to light and ultimately provide a path to work through them. My approach to therapy focuses on practical strategies for dealing with conflict and stress at the surface while also investigating the deeper layers that contribute to our stuck patterns. This allows for us as individuals, couples, or families to strengthen overtime and fortify our resiliency. I use a collaborative approach and will operate from a lens that feels adaptive and works best for you in your given circumstance. I look forward to working with you.

I'm happy to offer a 10-20 minute phone call to get to know each other and explore if we would be a good fit. I look forward to talking more soon.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
I believe Psychotherapy at it's core is a relational experience. We all go through trials in life that can disrupt our relationship with ourselves, others, and our wider community. We are designed to be in connection with ourselves and others so when this disconnection happens it alerts us through symptom expression. I believe in Carl Jung's idea that the symptom contains at its core the solution. Reparative relationship is the experience we all yearn for and thankfully Psychotherapy can often provide. In the context of a safe therapeutic alliance I believe that you can access your own inner wisdom and natural resources. I commend you for making it this far.
