My Approach to Helping

It's my belief that people truly begin to heal the moment they feel heard and understood. A therapeutic relationship invites someone to walk beside you and help ease the weight of life's burdens. Within this relationship, you have the freedom to safely express your feelings, thoughts, experiences, life stresses, and desires. Over time, as the therapy deepens, I find the relationship grows and individuals begin to truly feel heard, find relief from emotional distress, improve personal relationships, develop insight into observed patterns and symptoms, and address concerns that initially brought them to see me.

I approach therapy through a Contemporary Psychoanalytic Lens as it provides a holistic approach to treatment while gathering a deep understanding of what is being communicated through one's behaviors, not just symptoms. I aspire to provide all patients with unconditional support, insight, and healthy movement towards pleasurable living.

I am accepting new patients; initial phone consultations are offered at no cost.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

"Exploration of unconscious thoughts and feelings, understanding aspects of the relationship between therapist and patient, which may relate to underlying emotional conflicts, interpretation of defensive processes which obstruct emotional awareness, and consideration of issues related to a sense of self and self-esteem."

"Most often therapy sessions occur between one and four times weekly. The focus is on an exploration of the patient?s inner experience, emphasizing this as it occurs in current daily life, as it carries over from significant and influential events and relationships of the past, and as it is manifest in the context of the therapeutic relationship."
