My Approach to Helping
Feeling anxious about revealing your authentic self to friends and family? Perhaps you've taken that step and faced disappointment instead of the expected support. It's unjust that being true to your sexual orientation or gender identity can evoke fear of rejection or discomfort in your own skin. Navigating this uncertain terrain alone can feel overwhelming. You deserve understanding and care. No one should endure a life shadowed by fear of being their true selves.
Imagine Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as your personal toolkit for life. It's like having a roadmap that helps you handle thoughts and feelings, do things that truly light you up, and be confident in your skin, even if others don't get it. It's about embracing your uniqueness and finding your path in a world that sometimes feels complicated.

My Role as a Therapist
I earned both my Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. My experience as a therapist comes from a variety of settings, including child welfaresocial services, community mental health centers, and private therapy practice. As a therapist, it is my responsibility to provide a caring and trusting professional relationship with my clients to allow them to open up about their struggles and learn good coping strategies to overcome them.
