My Approach to Helping
As an experienced psychologist and Certified Emotionally-Focused couples therapist working with couples and individuals for over 25 years, I have worked to help people not only feel better but also to live better. We will work together to identify how to best resolve the challenges you are facing. Sometimes therapy goals involve change and sometimes they involve acceptance, but we always strive for a greater understanding of self and others. The therapy process is respectful, interactive, compassionate and focused. I primarily work with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life changes, and relationship problems. I work with couples to help them move away from negative interaction patterns to a more loving connection. I know it can be difficult to make the decision to come to therapy, and regardless of the type of problem you are seeking help with, I will create a safe environment to explore your feelings, thoughts, and behavior.
