My Approach to Helping

I am a graduate of Waynesburg University who has been practicing in mental health and substance use for the last 8 years. My approach is generally interactive, directive, and educational, and is geared to give you practical skills to live a balanced life. I believe that providing comprehensive and attentive care is the key to wellness and success. A healthy mind is something we all want. TCI works hard to provide a personalized, creative and empathetic approach on that journey.

More Info About My Practice

Conveniently located less than 5 minutes from the Robinson mall, TCI is completely private with an out-of-view parking lot and entrance to ensure our client's privacy. We are dedicated to treating all individuals with dignity and respect. TCI is passionate and motivated to eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness and substance abuse. It is through education and awareness that stigma and cultural perceptions change. TCI is committed to bringing those aspects directly to individuals, families, and communities.

My Role as a Therapist

We believe in promoting the highest level of personal growth. By providing services that go beyond the traditional setting, TCI is a full-service practice. What does this mean? It means that your TCI counselor is not only dedicated to your mental health but is also experienced in handling things such as coordination with other treatment providers (i.e psychiatrists, medication-assisted-treatment centers, primary care doctors and or general practitioners). It also means that you will be able to spend your time focusing on you? and not the paperwork. Our goal is to make the process as simple and encouraging as possible all while providing the utmost level of respect and compassion.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Reaching out for counseling services is the first step towards change. The process of self-reflection and growth can oftentimes seem daunting and confusing. My purpose is to walk beside you and ease those fears in whatever means best supports your goals.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

Counseling is a connected process that is shared between the individual and their counselor. The connection between the two prompts vulnerable, honest and deep communication. Through interactions, the connected conversation prompts explorative navigation into dreams, hope, desires, and insight.
