My Approach to Helping
I specialize in narrative therapy, where I help clients understand their story and then remove obstacles so they can heal in a deep and lasting way. I have helped hundreds of men break free from the bondage of sexual addiction. I also assist with many other addictions that keep us from living free and whole lives, such as work, exercise, gambling, video games, alcohol, and marijuana. I have also found that I do my best work with clients who are burnt out on life, angry at God, or can’t seem to find their purpose.
My early career took me through accounting and finance roles in one of the Big Four accounting firms, national warehouses, and a handful of smaller organizations, giving me firsthand experience in the complex dynamics of corporate life. I also bring the discipline and resilience honed through my service in the United States Marine Corps, where I completed two deployments, including one in Iraq, before being honorably discharged as a Sergeant.
What’s missing from the bio above is a huge pile of shit that occurred in the two decades leading up to my decision to change my life and become a therapist. My own story is actually my greatest credential as a therapist. The wounds, brokenness, and stupidity of my youth made me desperate enough to finally seek help. I underwent a process of healing that completely changed the person I was.
