My Approach to Helping
My specialties include child behavior and emotional challenges, child and adolescent mental illness, school adjustment, child neglect and abuse, domestic violence, family and couples therapy, foster care, foster parenting, and treating trauma.
I am the author of The Supportive Foster Parent. I'm also a licensed clinical psychologist, and bring my 25 years of experience to the treatment of adolescents, children, and families.
I'm president of Section IV, Division 12, of the American Psychological Association.
In 2004, I was awarded the Lake County Circuit Court's award for outstanding service to the community. I serve on the Child Protection and Child Fatality Team boards.
I offer treatment for learning disabilities, ADHD, alcohol and drug addiction, and anger management. I also offer neuropsychological assessments and personality testing, as well as an ADHD parenting and kids group and a group for teens struggling with anger.
