My Approach to Helping
I take a humanistic, person-centered approach to therapy. This means your unique experience and inner wisdom will guide our work together. There are no one-size-fits-all methods here. I cultivate a space to speak authentically about trauma and systems of oppression that affect us daily. I would be honored to plant those seeds of healing and wholeness with you.
— My Background —
In addition to my masters-level education in Clinical Psychology, I have undergraduate degrees in Neuroscience and Music. I also have over a decade of experience advocating for survivors of trauma and others navigating complex systems during difficult times.
More Info About My Practice
I have experience working with adult and adolescent clients seeking support with a wide range of issues including: depression, anxiety, effects of trauma and violence, grief and loss, relationships, life changes, and high stress or abuse at home, work, and school.
— Single Point of Contact —
You will have a direct line of contact with me from the beginning! From your first contact with me, I will assist you with each step while getting started with therapy and with any schedule or billing questions going forward.
— What to Expect —
In your first session, we'll explore what brings you to therapy and discuss some helpful ways we can address the challenges you're facing. I take a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety and stability in the early sessions of therapy. Early sessions often include supportive reflection, discussion of how your nervous system responds to stress, and research-based relaxation techniques.
