My Approach to Helping
James Floyd is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas who has experience assisting hundreds of adolescent and adult clients work through depression, anxiety, developmental and life issues. James received his Bachelor of BusinessAdministration from Texas A&M University and a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. James uses an integration of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, internal family systems, solution focused and relational approaches to identify and work through both immediate and underlying issues and struggles. This approach his the work with each client to be tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. James seeks to balance clinically grounded psychological theory with biblical principles to provide a supportive environment for those who seek biblical or spiritual counsel. James seeks to establish a caring and supportive relationship with you, rooted in the common ground of shared humanity, allowing the interaction of differences to be explored safely as you work toward the goals and desires that bring you to the meaningyou want in your life.
