My Approach to Helping

People come to therapy lost or having tried everything and nothing seemed to work. Sometimes people just want to know that what they feel, think, or experience in their lives is "normal." My "MO" is about balancing empathy with sometimes difficult truths. So, if you’re looking to have a conversation, be collaborative, and willing to learn, look no further!

My clients often have struggled with emotional neglect, and require someone to take their problems seriously, and might need assistance with feeling safe, how to be vulnerable, and to build up their self-esteem. I enjoy working with clients +15 who are struggling to deal with their trauma and symptoms of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and boundaries. Practicing, I help clients build confidence, establish a sense of self-awareness and integration, and grow fulfilling lives and relationships.

More Info About My Practice

Trauma is my specialty which often involves various issues with anxiety, depression, even panic. I offer video therapy for teens and adults, and am proficient in CBT, EFT, IFS, and attachment theory. I help clients recognize unacknowledged thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensation patterns, learn practical coping skills, and how to communicate their needs.

****I take private pay, am able to bill in-network with Premera, and offer a FREE claim filing service for those wishing to use Out-of-Network benefits and not have to file their own claims (or have me do it), or deal with Superbills themselves (I still can provide Superbills)!****

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Often times people can feel weak or flawed when entering therapy. But, when we begin to pull back the layers and emotionally process this, many of my client's recognize how this is centered around fear. It's important to remember the only time we can be brave is when we're afraid, and what is weak about that?
