My Approach to Helping
Life is hard. We all suffer. People today experience more stress, emptiness, anxiety, self-judgment, and depression than ever. Do you feel overwhelmed by your emotional experience? Maybe you have found ways to numb painful feelings or memories temporarily, only to have them resurface again? Or perhaps you struggle to express yourself effectively in your relationships, and end up shutting down or lashing out. Cultivating a healthy relationship to our emotions opens space for greater connection, confidence, and compassion. A healthy experience of our inner world also opens the way to tapping into the fullest expression of ourselves.
I use attachment-oriented, emotion-focused, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and body-oriented approaches to help clients free parts of themselves that feel frozen, cultivate a deeper connection to their most authentic-self, and a deeper and more authentic connection to others. Leaning into this work brings growth, transformation, and the opportunity rewrite a story that may no longer serve you.
