My Approach to Helping
You work so hard doing all the things you’re supposed to do, and yet, it’s never enough. Something feels off. Your mind plays tricks on you with anxious thoughts keeping you up at night- Did I say the wrong thing? Do they think I’m weird? Where am I going with my life? You know that you have a kind heart and the drive to get things done. You just need some help believing in yourself. Sound familiar? I am here to help. Whether you’re feeling lost, aimless, stuck, afraid, or unhappy with your present, therapy can help you find a direction and equip you with the tools to believe in yourself and your future.
As a therapist, my approach is warm, empathetic, and genuine. I am very responsive, letting you determine the energy and pace of our work together. With clarity, compassion, and guidance, I will help you see the strengths you have and find ways to use them to move forward. By incorporating new habits and self-care, you’ll grow to move through life with more ease.
I believe in the healing power of animals and integrate my furry, four-legged companions into sessions to better assist you. Doing the work of animal-assisted therapy can be a very powerful experience. Sometimes, therapy can feel uncomfortable; having a dog or horse present can help you process what is actually happening for you. If this is something you’re interested in trying, we can explore it together as part of your treatment plan, but I also work with clients entirely apart from animals.
