My Approach to Helping
Counseling isn't about fitting into a box, it's about painting outside the lines, dancing like nobody's watching, and singing from your inner voice. I value a client-centered, social justice and multicultural approach to therapy and strive to fully understand each individual client's uniqueness. As a somatic psychotherapist, I believe it is through working with the body, mind and spirit together that the deepest levels of growth and healing can be found. You can expect to explore sensations in the body in session. I use Jungian and transpersonal lenses to bring a spiritual dimension to therapy, and I love to incorporate tarot, astrology, art, poetry, dreams, and symbolism when it feels supportive. I invite you to come as you are, and embrace the quirks that make you, you.
More Info About My Practice
I seek to balance honoring the the knowns of traditional psychology and the unknowns of what is yet to be discovered. I hold my LPCC in the state of Colorado and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling concentrating in Body Psychotherapy from Naropa University am currently enrolled in a Jungian certificate program. I am an active member of the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy as a Somatic Psychotherapist, a certified Practical Reiki Master, active volunteer with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and trained End of Life Doula.
