My Approach to Therapy
Have you ever felt like you are doing everything “right” on the outside, but something still feels off on the inside? Maybe anxiety, stress, relationship struggles, past experiences, or major life changes have left you feeling disconnected from yourself. You may be someone who thinks deeply, feels deeply, and is ready to understand your story in a new way.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process where we slow down, get curious, and explore the experiences that have shaped you. My approach blends narrative therapy, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, somatic practices, and EMDR-informed work to help you better understand yourself, heal from painful experiences, and create meaningful change.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a journalist, which shaped the way I listen: with curiosity, compassion, and a belief that every person’s story deserves to be understood. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, religious trauma, and the process of reconnecting with who they truly are.
Therapy is not about becoming someone new. It is about uncovering the parts of yourself that may have been hidden, unheard, or overwhelmed. Together, we can explore your experiences, rewrite unhelpful patterns, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
My Practice & Services
I provide individual therapy for adults and couples therapy for partners seeking to strengthen their relationship, improve communication, and navigate challenges together. I work with clients in Boulder, Colorado, and offer secure telehealth throughout Colorado.
Many of my individual clients are thoughtful, creative, and driven people who may appear capable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck internally. They often come to therapy to work through anxiety, life transitions, identity exploration, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, or the desire to better understand themselves.
In couples therapy, I help partners slow down difficult patterns, improve communication, rebuild connection, and better understand each other’s needs. I use a collaborative, compassionate approach informed by relationship therapy, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices.
My approach blends narrative therapy, mindfulness, somatic work, and EMDR-informed therapy to help clients explore their experiences, heal from painful patterns, and create meaningful change. I believe therapy is a space where you can bring your whole story and be met with curiosity, respect, and compassion.
I am a private-pay therapist and provide superbills for clients who wish to seek possible out-of-network reimbursement.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy gives you a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns without judgment. It can help you understand what?s holding you back, process past trauma, manage stress or anxiety, and build practical tools to handle life?s challenges. With guidance and reflection, therapy can increase self-compassion, clarity, and confidence, helping you create meaningful change and live a fuller, more balanced life. privilege of holding space for people as they explore their challenges, dreams, and personal growth. I love working with teens, young adults, and creative individuals, helping them sit in the mess and discover new ways to move forward. Whether it is managing stress, overcoming addiction, or healing from spiritual abuse, I am honored to walk alongside my clients as they reclaim their strength and sense of purpose.
I also bring creativity and connection into my work, often drawing from my love of writing, nature, and the arts. And with my rescue dog, June, training to be a therapy dog, I?m reminded every day that healing can happen in all kinds of ways.
Therapy, to me, is about helping people rewrite the narratives that no longer serve them and create new ones that feel authentic and empowering. It's an incredible honor to be part of that process.
